Whilst at university I ran adult development classes for beginner to improving swimmers.
When I left university I moved to Bedford as the Swimming Manager at a school where I have been developing swimmers from learn to swim through to national level swimmers.

I place a strong emphasis on technique and getting the swimmer to understand the physics behind why they would want to perform a skill in a certain way to allow them to move through the water as easily and as efficiently as possible
Understanding the simple skills and being able to perform them to a high level will allow a swimmer to swim faster for longer. Making it easy to understand why we want to swim with a certain technique allows swimmers to unlock their full potential.

Swim England Level 3 Swimming Coach

My time as a competitive swimmer gave me a love of the sport and I eventually moved into coaching to help others reach their potential.

When I become Head Coach of Harpenden Swimming Club in 2016 I set out to change how the swimmers were coached, placing a strong emphasis on technique and applying that to faster sets. During my time as Head Coach the club had qualifiers to National Championships every year, including the club's first ever relay qualification.

It's important to me that swimmers of all ability have the tools they need to reach their goals, whether they want to have better technique or they want to reach a higher level of competition. Once the technique is settled the speed and stamina are a natural progression, allowing swimmers to swim better and faster for longer.
